Abstract:The amorphous soft magnetic ribbons of the Co69Fe4Ni2Si10B15 and the Fe77Si8B15 alloy were prepared by the oblique spray type of the block- rotation- flow- casting technology. The study shown that by changing the contact angle between the laminar flow molten steel and the surface of the cooling carrier, the laminar flow of the molten steel was rapidly spread to the surface of the cooling carrier by the oblique spray type, and formed the ultra- thin amorphous strip after quenching. The thickness of ribbons could be reduced to 12 μm by controlling process parameters of the oblique spray type. The morphology of amorphous ribbons prepared under different process parameters was observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). It was found that the amorphous soft magnetic alloy ribbons had better apparent quality and higher flatness by decreasing the spray angle and maintaining other parameters unchanged.
